Malcesine, Cassone, Dos del Pis, Campiano, Malcesine

An easy route that is suitable for all abilities and allows you to appreciate the beauty of the environment and enjoy stunning views of the lake and the town at the same time.

Setting off from the bus station, head down the road that descends to the little port, then turn along Viale Roma and go past the Fraglia della Vela di Malcesine to join the Gardesana (main lake road).
Head south as far as the hospital, where you bear right down the lakeside road, Valdisogno. Ride along beside the lake until you get to Cassone. Just after the river, make your way to the upper part of the village.
When you get to the square behind the church, bear left and follow the road that heads back towards Malcesine, rejoining the Gardesana a little further north. When you get to Valdisogno, turn right along a narrow lane that climbs up to Caris and Dos del Pis, then drops down to the Strada Panoramica (Scenic route).
Head up this road to Passo Campiano. The subsequent descent to Prea winds through olive groves and commands splendid views over the lake and the town below. At the T-junction at the end of the Panoramica, bear right and head north as far as a dirt lane to your left.Turn down this track and a gentle undulating stretch past olive groves, orchards and gardens completes the last leg of the route back to Malcesine.
