A dramatic route that makes its way down one of the wildest and loveliest slopes of Monte Baldo, with the Monte Altissimo on one side and the slope falling sheer to the lake below you on the other. It is possible to reach S.Michele by cable car.

Set off from the square in front of the bus station and head south for 200 m, then bear left along the Strada Panoramica (Scenic Route).
This road climbs steadily to Passo Campiano.
Turn right and continue your climb up a narrower lane, tackling a few short, but intense steepish stretches. Instead of turning right towards the mid-way cable car station when you get to the last steepish uphill stretch, go straight ahead and continue to climb for another 200 m, then take a left onto a dirt road that runs on level ground and makes its way rapidly to Faigo.
Go past the houses, cross the field, then turn left along a very rutted trail that starts to descend through a wood and comes out in the vicinity of Monte Fubia. The landcape is particularly lovely and the views over the lake are breathtaking. From now on the bends are very sharp and steep and should be approached with extreme caution. When you get to Dos Merlo, an unpaved track that is suitable for vehicles provides you with a leisurely ride to Navene.
Head south for a kilometre along the Gardesana (main lake road), then bear left along a quieter paved road in the hamlet, località Martora. Soon after some road signs, turn onto an unpaved road and head for Malcesine along little country lanes that cut through lush olive groves.
